Art

Examination board – Edexcel

If you enjoy Art and you wish to be a part of the unique atmosphere of the Art and Design Department at Post 16 then A Level Art and Design is for you.

Art allows you to express yourself creatively and to produce work based on your own strengths and interests. Throughout the course you will work from your chosen theme, experiment with a wide range of media, techniques and research the work of artists, thus identifying and developing your own style of working. You have the exciting opportunity to experience a life drawing course, which is not normally offered until university. There are no exams in Year 12, and you have a mock in the second half of the Autumn Term of Year 13.

At the end of the year we celebrate the students’ success with the Art A Level Exhibition; a fantastic event displaying the students’ final outcomes.
