Guidance

Given the complexity of the situation, we will look at every case on its merits and in many cases, allow people to take qualifications if that helps them achieve their aspirations.

AQA Extended Project: Year 13

In Year 13, students will be given the opportunity to carry out an AQA Level 3 Extended Project. This qualification is worth valuable UCAS points and will develop and extend an area of study or a topic of personal interest.

It will be based on a topic chosen by the student and has proven invaluable for many of our students. Universities love the Extended Project and it has often been used as a 'tiebreaker' between University applicants with similar results, as it requires independent work and original thought.

It is an opportunity to pursue individual interests in ways closer to the University experience.  Students love the ability to choose their own topic, independence and high quality individual support - this is reflected in the superb results this subject enjoys.
