A note from the Headteacher, Tom Inman:
We are exceptionally proud of Exmouth Post-16 and in particular, the students who make it such a great place to learn.
While Exmouth Post-16 shares the same foundations as the main College, around exceptional teaching, outstanding pastoral care, maximising every student's potential for fulfilling employment and a high quality of life, the ethos is very different.
We place far greater emphasis on treating students in a far more mature way, developing their independence and working with them in smaller groups, in a more bespoke and individual way. The success and popularity of our Post-16 is centred on knowing students really well, identifying when intervention is required early and ensuring every student is supported, which we can do more effectively, since each student is known by the pastoral team and their teachers. The advantage offered by our provision is that we are small enough to be able to know students as individuals, yet at the same time offer a really broad curriculum which meets the needs of the vast majority of learners.
The success of this approach is reflected in our results and we are consistently amongst the highest performing Post-16 providers in the County, with many students going on to employment, apprenticeships and universities which regularly include Russell group universities and Oxbridge.
We look forward to welcoming you to Exmouth Post-16.
