Retaining The Best People

"Train your team well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to".

Richard Branson

We are passionate about empowering and supporting our staff. We believe that we get the best from our people when they feel heard, considered and have a strong sense of belonging.

Our roles in schools are incredibly rewarding. We expect our staff to work hard. But, we all need the tools and support to succeed.

Empowering All People

Ensuring the staff feel informed and empowered to do their jobs to the best of their abilities, and to have a sense of pride in their work is a key priority.

To ensure staff are supported, we:

  • Have a clear behaviour policy which allows staff to form positive relationships with students, but has systems in place to support them when needed.
  • Seek feedback from staff regularly to hear what works, what we can do better or to check on wellbeing.
  • Have an open door policy - if you are unclear, check in. If you feel unsure, talk it through. If you need some advice, let's discuss it.
  • Celebrate each other.
  • Communicate.
