Safeguarding

We recognise our moral and statutory responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all students. We endeavour to provide a safe and welcoming environment where students are respected and valued. We are alert to the signs of abuse and neglect and follow our procedures to ensure that students receive effective support, protection and justice. We work closely with many other organisations to support the students and their families, including Early Help, Operation Encompass and Children’s Social Care.

The designated lead for safeguarding is Miss Miles - the College also has three deputy safeguarding leads Mr Allen, Mr Tanner and Mr Turner. The Governors have designated individuals with responsibility for safeguarding.

If you have any concerns about your child or a child within the school, please do contact us.

Alternatively, if it is at a weekend or during school holidays, you can contact the MASH team at Devon County Council directly on 0345 155 107.

We will keep parents updated with safeguarding advice through our social media feeds or direct email to parents.

If you are visiting the College, please ensure you follow the information you are provided with or see on College signage to ensure the safety of our whole College community.
