Duke Of Edinburgh Bronze Award Expedition Training

The training for Yr. 9s started at the end of May with First Aid and ended on Woodbury Common last week, where we were given a bit of Dartmoor weather for authenticity!

This year we were very lucky to be trained by the best. Mr Woodin, a retired Royal Marine taught map and compass skills and Mr McGrath a surgeon at Exeter RD&E taught First Aid.

Also thank you to Mr Glanville, Mr Stanier, Mrs CacicedoHough, Ms Crook, Miss Dugdale, Mrs Wakeham and Miss Sergeant for volunteering to train the students practical map and navigation skills on Woodbury Common.

All 53 students will complete their Qualifying Expedition in the autumn.
