The Wellbeing Award for Schools

Dear Parents and Carers,

We wrote to you in the autumn term to update you on how we support student mental health and wellbeing within College. If you would like to read the information again, you can find it on our website here: Exmouth Community College - Supporting Wellbeing at ECC (

Within the update we explained that we will be working towards achieving The Wellbeing Award for Schools through Optimus Education.

This is a prestigious award which is only awarded to schools and colleges across the country who show commitment to supporting their community’s mental health and wellbeing. This includes staff, students and you as parents and carers.

The application is a 15 month process in which we will review every aspect of our provision and practices. We are very excited about this as it presents us with even more opportunities to grow and to learn as a whole College community.

To begin, we need to survey all students, staff and parents and carers to gauge where we currently stand in the perception of our prevision. Your views are extremely important in helping us understand what we are doing well and how we can do even better. All responses and suggestions will be carefully considered and used to plan a range of school improvements.

I would therefore be very grateful if you could help us by completing this survey by following the link below. It should only take a couple of minutes.

In order for the survey results to count, we need at least 65% turnout from parents and carers. It is therefore really important to us that you take the time to complete the survey so we can use your views. The survey is open until the 28th January.

If you have any queries about this survey, please contact me directly.

Thank you for your support.

Evaluation submissions are valid between: 14/01/2022 - 28/01/2022. Your submission will not be accepted outside of these dates
