The College Day

Timekeeping:

Good time keeping is very important both at college and in the working world.  It is a practice which we wish every student to adopt and retain in adult life. Parents and carers also have an important role to play in ensuring students develop this important life skill and can help us by ensuring students are dropped off, or set off for college, in good time.

If a student is late for any lesson or register more than three times, sanctions will be applied.

  • All students should be on site no later than 8.20 am.
  • Students should register in their Tutor Room no later than 8.30am

Breaks

All KS3 and KS4 students are to remain on site during break and lunchtime.

Sixth Form students are exempt from this requirement.

Staff Supervision

During the college day, arrangements are made for staff supervision of students from ten minutes before the start of the college day until ten minutes after the end of the college day.

We accept no responsibility for students who are on college premises before 8.20am or ten minutes after the close of school, unless they are here on an authorised and official college activity and in the care of a member of staff.

Students should leave the site swiftly at the end of the college day unless they are involved in a college class or activity with staff supervision, e.g. enrichment clubs.
