Application Process
Exmouth Community College’s sixth form application process is designed to be straightforward for both current students and those joining from other schools. Current ECC students complete their application through the Futures Form, which allows them to select courses and indicate whether Exmouth Sixth Form is their first‑choice provider.
Please use this link to access your Futures Form: Exmouth Futures Form Class of 2026
The deadline for equal access before the courses are timetabled and subject combinations is 14th January 2026. Applications will stay open until 1st September 2026. Early applications also increase the likelihood of securing preferred course combinations. Remember if you are keen that a certain subject combination runs at Exmouth Sixth Form tick that we are your first choice provider for your best chance of having those courses run together.
Students from other schools, including those from outside our catchment area, are welcome to apply. We hold an open evening in the Autumn Term at which you will have an opportunity to find out further details of subjects that are available and to talk to course teachers. You will also be able to register your interest in applying for a Sixth Form place. We welcome students from a wide range of other state and independent schools, and you will be invited to interview after we receive your application: External Students Apply Here
Choosing your courses
Start by exploring the course guide and the subject pages in the course section to get a clear sense of which options might suit you best.
If you want to understand how different subjects link to future pathways, take advantage of the excellent Unifrog tools available to all Year 11 students:
- Use the Unifrog Subjects Tool to see where each subject could lead.
- If you already have a career in mind, the Unifrog Careers Tool can show you the routes to get there.
If you’re still unsure which subjects to choose, you can look at the Russell Group’s Informed choices guide to see how different subjects connect to university courses. You might also find it helpful to browse Unifresher.co.uk for insight into strong university options beyond the Russell Group.
If you’re considering alternatives to university, explore the government’s apprenticeship resources, including higher and degree‑level apprenticeships, to see what opportunities are available. We have a dedicated page for moving on from Sixth Form, which can be found below.
Open Evening Presentation 2025
