CRICKET SUCCESS Congratulations to our Under 13 and 15 Cricket teams who have recently competed in the Qualifying finals. Both teams played some outstanding cricket and were wonderful roles models for the college, showing a real sense of belonging, teamwork and kindness. The under 15 team were eventual winners of their competition and have qualified for the South West Finals in March. Well done to all players involved

FOOD BANK DONATIONS Thank you to all tutor groups who were involved in our House Food Bank Donations this term. We had one tutor with a total donation of the heaviest box of 45.8g, our whole College's donation was 823kg worth of food and toiletries to the local food banks. This is the single largest donation to Exmouth Food Bank in their history!! Miss Gale delivered the collected donations to the Foodbank earlier this week. Donations will stretch out well into the new year and help to feed the over 7,000 people that use the food banks each year in Exmouth. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your generosity will make a significant difference to local families this Christmas.

ROCK FOR PROM Our brilliant Sixth Form students led the way in hosting a music concert last week, raising valuable funds for their end-of-year prom. It was a truly memorable evening, organised and delivered entirely by Sixth Form, with fantastic support from younger years. You have proven yourselves to be inspiring role models. A special well done to Evie and Grace, our talented Sixth Form photographers, who captured the evening beautifully while expanding their portfolios and supporting the College.

JUNIOR CHEF We have three students selected to take part in the TedWragg Junior Chef training at Exeter College. Congratulations to Scarlett, Amber and Bella. The training combines practical qualifications with high-profile workshops, masterclasses, and work placements, the academy offers students a unique chance to learn from industry leaders. We look forward to your upcoming bakes.

CPR AND DEFIB TRAINING Over the past two weeks, we were incredibly grateful to welcome Jay's Aim into school to deliver CPR and defibrillator training to our entire Year 8 cohort. Jay's Aim is a charity set up in memory of Jay Osborne, a young father who tragically lost his life after a sudden cardiac arrest aged just 28. The charity, set up by Jay's family, including his brother Dan who led one of our Year 8 training days, is motivated by a powerful mission to save lives by educating young people and communities in lifesaving skills, and by improving public access to defibrillators. Their relentless work empowers ordinary people to act confidently in an emergency and equip them with the knowledge that truly can make the difference between life and death. Our Year 8 students were extremely lucky to take part in this training, gaining practical, hands-on experience in CPR and learning how to use a defibrillator. These are skills they will carry with them for life, and we are proud to know they are now better prepared to help others if the unthinkable ever happens. A huge thank you to the team at Jay's Aim, especially our trainers Dan and Kirsty, for their time, expertise and commitment to making our community safer.
