The University of Plymouth World Oceans Day Conference 2021

On the 8th of June we invite you and your students to celebrate World Oceans Day with us as the Faculty of Science and Engineering highlights the Marine focused research and opportunities available at the University of Plymouth.

As the ‘Home of Marine Research’ in the UK, we want to inspire young minds to conserve, protect and research the marine environment, giving insight into the diverse range of careers that are available to students no matter their interests, from Marine Biology to Cyber Security.

Aimed at A Level students, we hope that this day of talks will encourage young people to pursue a 'Marine Career' and hope to show that whatever you're interested in there is a path for you.

The day will see talks from our academics in:

-          Chemistry

-          Cyber Security

-          Engineering

-          Environmental Science

-          Geology

-          Geography

-          Marine Biology

-          Marine Science

-          Mathematics

We hope that the variety of the day will provide food for thought and open students up to the possibilities out there for the taking.
