Uniform and Personal Appearance

UNIFORM IS NOT NEGOTIABLE

PLEASE NOTE: Students not wearing the correct uniform may be sent home. If a student is out of uniform they must have a letter of explanation from their parent /carer

 

All students in Years 7 to 11 must wear the College Uniform

The uniform is only available from Pinder and Tuckwell, Fore Street, Exeter

Jumpers, cardigans or sweatshirts from other outlets are not acceptable.

All Students MUST Wear . . .      
  • A plain white shirt or blouse with tailored collar, long sleeves with button cuffs Must be capable of being tucked into trousers or skirt
       
  • Plain black trousers No flared, drain pipes or low waisted trousers
  • Or, for girls, plain black skirt with plain belt if required*– knee/calf length
  • SKIRTS MUST BE: knee or calf length with a plain belt. NO SLITS in the skirt are acceptable.
  • *Nodecorated or patterned belts are permitted
  • College sweater with crest
  • College tie which must be correct for their year group

  • Girls’ leg wear must be black or neutral tights
 
  • BLACKSHOES should have low heels No open toe or backless shoes or boots

Make Up

NO Make-Up may be worn by any student in years 7, 8, 9 or 10. Year 11: Girls (only) may wear make up providing that it is discreet. (subtle)

The following applies to all students
  • Rings may NOT be worn One SMALL stud in each ear only No other forms of jewellery may be worn
  • NO bracelets or necklaces may be worn. (except Medicare) NO visible body piercing
  • Hair must be neat and tidy , of a colour that appears natural and of a conventional style
  • Trainers may not be worn AT ANY TIME except for PE
  • No boots to be worn
  • Belts , if worn, must be plain and black. No fancy/decorated/silver belts or other clothing
  • Hats are not allowed except in extreme weather
  • Students should have a dark waterproof coat
  • Tracksuit tops and hooded tops areNOT ALLOWED unless part of college team kit

All items MUST be marked With Owner’s Name & Tutor Group

PE KIT

All students must come prepared with the correct kit. Parents are advised to provide gum shields for all hockey and rugby lessons. Shin pads should be purchased for football, rugby and hockey lessons.

The following kit is required for ALL students:

  • Purple College Polo Shirt
  • BLACK Shorts
  • Long Black Football Socks
  • Training Shoes (with non-marking soles)

Boys should also have:

  • Purple College Rugby
  • Shirt Football Boots

Girls should also have:

  • Trainer Socks

The following kit is optional:

  • BLACK Tracksuit Trousers
  • Black College Rain Jacket*
  • Black College PE Fleece Tops*
  • Purple College Rugby Shirt (optional for girls)
