This is a one year course ideal for those who dread the prospect of exams as assessment is based on 100% coursework and represents an ideal bridging course between GCSE and Level 3 or A level Media courses. You do a main production exercise mainly magazines within their mandatory units, which will involve group work as well as taking individual responsibility for certain key elements. There are also choices from the optional units including, photography, computer games, moving image products, and radio production. Students must pass every unit and each unit is graded Pass, Credit, Merit, or Distinction.
A Distinction is equivalent to 4 x A* GCSEs, a Merit is equivalent to 4 x As, a Credit is 4 x Bs, Pass is 4 x Cs.
What qualifications do I need?
We need a minimum of 4 D grades at GCSE, including Maths and English.
