Students were taught a number of routines by nationally famous dance group FLAVA which they performed to parents on the last afternoon of the workshop.
The workshop taught students about body language and how this is read by other people.  The aim of the workshop was to boost self-confidence and self-esteem. Everyone enjoyed the event and students were very positive about what they had learned.
This project was jointly funded by the College, Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, Devon Cliffs Holiday Park and Tesco.

Students Watch Exeter City FC Training Session - March 2010

Students watched sessions taken by Exeter City Manager Paul Tisdale, Club Director Steve Perryman and First Team Coach Rob Edwards.

It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to see the first team squad preparing for their match against Oldham. On the Saturday the club gave the students and staff complementary tickets to see how the session was used in the match.

Students then got the chance for a question and answer session with Rob Edwards (first team coach) and Adam Stansfield (striker). They talked about their training programmes, diet and how they made it into football.

Students were registered with World Maths Day and then logged on to compete in the live ‘mathletics’ game. Each game lasted for 60 seconds and each student could play up to 500 games, earning points for each correct answer.
Well done to all those who took part today!

As part of Fairtrade Fortnight the College was delighted to welcome Nicholas Kwame Adjei Gyan from the Kuapa Kokoo Cocoa Cooperative in Ghana.  Nicholas gave a fascinating presentation to Year 7 about the process of harvesting cocoa beans and the impact that support from Fairtrade has had on the community.
Nicholas represented over 45,000 farmers whose lives are being changed through involvement with Fairtrade.  The event was organised by the Year 9 Fairtrade Enrichment group.
